Interactive catalog plugin

Is there an interactive catalog plugin available for Freeway ….flip pages and and shopping cart buttons for the products on the individual pages?

Do you mean the bit in the banner ad-sized Flash movie about 1/3 down the page on the left? That’s done with Flash. I’m sure it could also be done in JavaScript with Scriptaculous or MooTools or similar, but I don’t know off-hand of an implementation of that.

Hi Richard yes I did have look at the xml and I did start to change them and then thought it was to much effort. most people wont want to get that involved in writing style sheets by hand so I gave up too

anyway it’s nice to know some one has been successful to some sort of degree

Master Page Sync (3 Replies)

Hi Lee, You could try my Simple Include Pro action (http:// www.freewayactions.com/product.php?id=018). The idea behind the
action is that you can apply the Create Simple Include Pro action to
an object ( an HTML box, div or table for example) on one page and
include this item on subsequent pages simply by sketching the Use
Simple Include Pro action and picking the include you want, well,
included. As long as the create action is published before the use action then
you should be OK. What the action is doing is creating a freestanding
code include containing code for just the selected item. This is then
pulled into the site on later pages and added to the output code just
like any other include. As you change the master item Freeway will automatically update the
exported include file and this will, in turn, be automatically added
on any pages that subscribe to this include. Give the action a go and let me know if it works out for you or not. Regards, Tim.

Folder Action not updating on site changes (9 Replies)

In the end, I had to get out and push. In order to keep Freeway polling the folder for structure changes, I resorted to this wee hack:

function fwIsDirty(){
    fwItem.fwLastPage.fwSetDirty();
    return;
}

This forces the last page in the folder to be dirty on each publish, and thus the directory scan happens and the Type Map file is updated.

I tried all sorts of variations on the fwStructureDirty tune, and could not find anything that would fire reliably.
