I would have a look around in www.hotscripts.com in the PHP
section, there are probably a few hundred of these to choose from.
Pick one that has a decent demo page and documentation available,
because otherwise this will become a head-first introduction to
programming. Also, for your initial import, look for one that will
accept input by CSV or another text format. It’s pretty easy to
coerce Excel or Numbers to export something usable, and that will
keep you from clicky-clickying on the Web admin interface forever.

Initially there will be at least 500 entries and the person in
charge of the directory would be able to make changes/revisions/
 additions via a browser.

Inasfar as integration with Freeway, I would either use the iFrame
action or simply have a link to the directory.

Perhaps there is an “out of the box” server based solution
(preferaby free) that I can use.

Any suggestions/advice?
