Hi Eus
ummmmm .. :o)

Well I didn’t really have a problem with explorer apart from the pound sign, but things to check are…

first thing is did you construct the email in a freeway and was the CSS button turned off. As this will create the email with tables rather than div’s (layers)

Second: make sure external style sheet is turned off so all styles are within the HTML

and finally did you upload the html/images to a server, as this will be needed to hold the images, if you have done all these and it still doesn’t work you can always send me the freeway file and I can test it here.

Hi Max,

i did everything you ‘explained’. but still people who are still ( unbelieveble) on pc, can’t read my html email.
now i realise explorer is not nice, but how did you solve that??
greetings

As a little side note I have discovered recently that the £ sign in an email that I sent in this way was omitted… I know its odd, in the end I ended up adjusting it on a pc just so I could get the £ symbol

[b:bff24e3e69]Creating a HTML Emailer with Freeway and sending it out using Mail.app[/b:bff24e3e69]

There are a couple of things to make sure
b:bff24e3e69[/b:bff24e3e69] Make sure you are running Mac OSX Tiger
b:bff24e3e69[/b:bff24e3e69] That Mail.app is your Default Email Reader (you can make sure by adjusting this in: Mail / preference, general

[b:bff24e3e69]Step 1[/b:bff24e3e69][/color:bff24e3e69] Create your email/html document in Freeway and include all styling within the html ouput (NO external style sheet) and publish
[b:bff24e3e69]Step 2[/b:bff24e3e69][/color:bff24e3e69] Upload it to a server, this is were the actual images are going to be stored If your emailer contains no images then this isn’t necessary
[b:bff24e3e69]Step 3[/b:bff24e3e69][/color:bff24e3e69] Launch Mailer.app and Safari
[b:bff24e3e69]Step 3[/b:bff24e3e69][/color:bff24e3e69] Open your newly up loaded page in Safari
[b:bff24e3e69]Step 4[/b:bff24e3e69][/color:bff24e3e69] Press Apple(Cmd)-i
Now your Newly created HTML Email will open as a new email within Mail app

You will need to do a little experimenting to make sure your email looks correct on all email software platforms.
all links should work unless they are drop-downs or ordered lists
that’s it!!!

I hope this helps people
if you want to test this go to my sites home page
http://www.max-izzat.co.uk/index.html
and use Step 4[/color:bff24e3e69]
then send the email to your self and once its sent and it returns just click allow images if they or the background don’t show up completely.
