Simply select your button then go -> File-> Save selection as-> “yxz.png”/ “crop to content size”. PNG will maintain an alpha channel. Make sure you have no color “behind/under” your button.

Yes I got a 140x30 png. The outline is always counting from its center. So everything above zero will be rounded up to the next step. Totally makes sense - at least for me. You can simply subtract 2 points for height+width if you´re going for an 1 point outline in the beginning or don´t use an outline in first place.

Applescript Standard Additions

Hello,
Does anyone know how to get the Applescript Standard Addition commands to work in an Intaglio script?

Specifically, I need to use the “offset” command, however, if I attempt to use this command inside an Intaglio “tell” block I get a “Access not allowed.” error. If I move the “offset” command outside of the Intaglio tell block, it will compile fine.

I will greatly appreciate any help on this issue. Thanks!
-pc

As far as I can tell there is no. But: you can use the “effects” palette (Geometry adjustment->Crop) to do so - which I find a bit inconvenient. What I do most of the time is place a form over the image (must have a fill in the end) group both and tell “Group->Mask->Standard.

Hope this helps.

Cheers

IanB

Thank you for your suggestions. Works like a charm.

Some other things one can set up in a template are

Change the size of the stroke (I prefer 2 pt.)

Turn on Background Paint for text

Set the Fill

Set the Cap and Join

Since the file format is labeled as .intaglio, I’ve named the file Template.intaglio

Best regards,
Don

Intaglio and FlowJo (4 Replies)

Looks like issue is with the exporting function in FlowJo. On the PC, layouts exported from FlowJo can be viewed with an Adobe SVG viewer plugin for IE, but they still do not display the extended characters that were placed in the layout file. Apparently instead of displaying a file with only some of the characters in it, Intaglio prefers to not open the file at all. Probably better that way. Will have to contact the folks at TreeStar (makers of FlowJo) to report the bug.
Thanks for your help in diagnosing this Herve (sorry, no extended “e” on my iPhone either!)

As am I just learning Intaglio, a refinement to my last post. Under ‘Preferences’, the ‘Clipboard’ tab, just check ‘Convert Vector Files for Editing During Import’ and all clipboard operations will automatically break the import into components, i.e., no need to do the operation manually.

Textures (5 Replies)

Hey guys, don’t You think that there should be more transformations available for the textures than simple “scale to fit” and “transform with graphics”? It feels weird when I want to place texture accurately.
I can set the texture with correct height, but width is too short, I can’t really oversize a texture in any other way than clicking “scale to fit” … But in this case it is much too big…

Am I missing something? How do You do it?
