I’ve posted before about the excellent MODX Cloud Service https://modxcloud.com which was developed for (go figure) the MODX CMS. The service is now being expanded to include Wordpress too. You can read more here http://tinyurl.com/p7awznd.

[Pro] Coda 2, PHP & Web Toolkit, and Perch? (2 Replies)

Walter, I just got a response from Chipwreck, the company that makes PHP & Web Toolkit. Here is their response, although I haven’t tried it yet. I’m posting it here because I thought it might be helpful to others.

Question for Chipwreck:

How do I prevent Tidy HTML from stripping out CMS specific tags, such as:

<perch:label …
<perch:input …
<perch:error …

Chipwrecks Response:

Select “custom..” as configuration for tidy and add the tags after “new-blocklevel-tags” or “new-inline-tags” – that shall do the trick.

Page Link Design Advice Needed (8 Replies)

Okay, I can see where you have created the
.link a
style in the head. That looks mostly correct, except for the link color. You have the word
red
in place of
rgba
in that definition, so that’s possibly why it won’t appear to work. Browsers ignore nonsensical values like that, and some will entirely ignore a rule that contains an error like that. (Sometimes everything up to that point will apply, and only the crazy bit will be ignored.)

But there aren’t any elements on this page that have the class=”link” attribute set. If you apply that classname to one or more HTML boxes on the page, then their child links will gain the style attributes defined in your style. You can do this using the Item / Extended dialog, or you can try my AddSelector Action for this.

Walter

If the Redactor devs improve image handling it would strike a good balance for me.

Agree with you there.

I especially like how you can click and drag an image to a different position with ckeditor. And how you can easily set the size and padding etc.
The ckeditor menu is quite easy to adapt, another plus.

I tend to focus on images as I’m from a photography background.

What I thought was useful (and why I posted the link) was how easy it is to install the editor for use on the front-end, regardless of whether you use a CMS or not.

Yes that could be useful. I’ll have another look.

thanks,
