Hi
Thanks for your kind offer of help.
Managed to sort this by reverse engineering the existing html code and merging this with the PayPal button Action that is available in the Knowledge Base.

I know the thread is somewhat old, send the document over to me at:

email@hidden

I may have a tool that can pull a good bit of the source code for the action. If you are the sort that plays with action-code, then you will have no problem clearing up the last bits of missing code (presuming I am able to pull any details whatsoever)

I imagine so. You could try sending the document to Softpress. Perhaps they could dig the Action put of the document for you.

Hi Walter
Thanks for the prompt reply.
I confess I am the original developer of this action and document which was rescued from a dying Mac and and then the Freeway verion was upgraded.
I can’t trace the original anywhere except that it was a mash-up from “Add to Cart” button code from the PayPal Developer site and hints from someone who posted a similar button on a Freeway Action site.
So I take it there is no user access to the cached version?
Looks like I’ll have to look at the html code and reverse engineer it?

You’ll need to contact whomever made the document originally, and ask
them for a copy. Or post the name of the Action here and see if anyone
else has one.

This behavior you’re seeing is Freeway’s “rescue” for precisely this
occasion. Developer A makes a site using a number of different
Actions, then gives it to Developer B, who doesn’t have those Actions
installed. Each time you apply an Action within your Freeway document,
Freeway caches a copy of that Action within the Freeway document
itself. When Developer B opens the document, Freeway looks in the
canonical spots for Actions first, then if it comes up empty, looks
within the document itself and uses the cached version. You can’t
export or edit this cached version, only use it within the current
document.

Pro 4.2.2 I urgently need to edit some custom Actions (which are
custom PayPal buttons) which show up in the Insert Action Item menu.
In Edit /Actions they appear as Actions in Document as type Object
and behave as expected. The problem is I cannot find them in Actions
folders - both root and users - or “bundled” in the Freeway App. I
can apply them but can’t find any kind of dialogue window to edit
 them.
 Any suggestions please?
