The simplest way around this problem? Make your main HTML text boxes unlayered; uncheck the Layer checkbox for each one. Then they’ll sit ‘flat on the page’, and if one grows it wil push the next down along with it.

There are other ways around this, including the powerful but damn quirky ‘box-model layout’ technique. Don’t start there, see if you can solve your problem more simply for now. :-)

Looks like you have separate layered CSS (green) html boxes with text in them.

I think they would work better if they were inline layered or regular, non layered (blue) html boxes.

Yes, I have stylesheets set up and utilized.

Just can’t judge the layout with html.

It’s always tough to make an exact layout, but one thing that helps is style sheets. Have you made styles for your text?

I find myself gravitating towards graphic copy when I do layouts because many times when I use html copy, everything looks spaced fine in a Freeway Pro layout, but when I upload…I often get overlapping copy.

So, I must go back to my layout and “guess” at how much blank space to leave between elements.

I really would like to have an exact way to layout my copy so that I can KNOW what it will look like when published, without having to guess at blank space.

Any ideas??
