Just a short message to say that I found a solution (the solution even), in the third pane of the inspector palette change to png and millions of colors. Hope this can help somebody else.

hi again, I’m really a beginner I would like to link what I have done but and tried with 007sites.com and 0catch.com (free web hosting sites) with no success.Publish site does nothing and Upload I must not know what info to input since I always get this message : server is not responding. What is pass-through ?It’s just a jpg :

dragged form my desktop, and button is just a graphic item, black, 25% opacity (made directly on freeway).Everything is not layered.

Hard to say without seeing an example web page at least. Could you post a link somewhere? Also, are you importing your graphic as pass-through? And/or is that item not layered but the simple graphic box layered?

thanks for the info, what I really want to understand is why it works on a graphic item (same used as background) but not on the background it self.why is that not the same thing ?the button I make is just another graphic item and not even a complex graphic.

Check the output format for those graphic items. It will need to be PNG at millions of colours if you want real transparency, showing what’s underneath through it’s 25% opaque fill.

One way I found to do this is in Photoshop—make a clipping path for the item it will allow for a transparent path for the graphic you have designed. When you export the file make sure it is a tif—or tiff depending on what type of computer you are working with, hope this helps! http://freewaytalk.net/person/options

[Pro] opacity background / graphic

I’m trying to make transparent buttons (25% black opacity) directly on my main background but in the preview nothing is transparent, if I import the same background as a graphic item and make a 25% black opacity button it works in the preview.Can somebody help ?
