I like your idea and it will come in handy sooner or later. In the mean time I came across another solution that worked just fine to get my project out. I found it on another thread
http://freewaytalk.net/thread/view/35249#m_35284. Go down to Joe Billings thread response. Basically you apply the Transition FX Action to each rollover and set it to Fade the item on mouseover or click-on with duration of 0, and no toggle. There is a link to a sample file on that thread. Anyways I really appreciate your ideas. I learned something from them.

That works, EXECPT in this project it doesn’t because the page background in this case is a custom image, and FW won’t allow you the option to use that as the background in the graphic box. It only allows you the standard colors not custom backgrounds. Thanks anyways, any others suggestions?

I’m not really sure about that, Dave. All my images are slightly different sizes and I just made the box fit the size of the image I wanted: Item>fit box to content. And I have no background color in the image boxes.

I’m using Freeway 5 and for the action on the image box I used target show/hide image NOT target show/hide layer as I think the original tutorial instructs.

I tried the tutorial and the tips on this thread (thank you all) and after a while (a long while) I was able to build a rollover image gallery similar to the ones suggested on this thread and the tutorial. NOW, here is my problem and subsequent question: I want to make the first image to be visible when the page is accessed, BUT I want that first image to go away once the next image is clicked on (I’m using the click-on button as opposed to the mouse-over button). I have several pictures of varying sizes, if the first picture stays visible and the next click-on picture is smaller, then part of the visible picture shows through in the background, as the smaller picture is not big enough to cover it. How do I get the first picture to be visible when the page is accessed, and yet when the next image is clicked on, that first visible picture it is moved away or hidden? Any suggestions?

I apologize for starting a new thread on the same topic. I was not allowed to post to the original thread because it was my first post and got a message I had to join first. Please respond to the original thread and perhaps the list mom can scrub this one.

Could you please tell me what version of Freeway this tutorial applies to? Is it Express or Pro? If it is Pro, how do you get around the warning not to use CSS for building a gallery?
Thanks.
