It’s kind of odd designing a website for someone who you completely disagree with. I try to maintain professional composure.

Remember the UPS commercial? “…we could have a spinning logo or a
flaming logo!”

If you go to the old Site Map action, there is a color palette for it
called Redmond or something similar. That has the plus sign things
and everything. Very mid-90s.

Just off the top of my head I would suggest looking at combining
css menus with the Transition FX. Use transition effect for + sign
action and css menus for the rest.

Will take a lot of fiddling, and it may not work to very deep
 levels, but should be doable.

Hi Rocky

You can use Scriptaculous for this

softpress.com/products/scriptaculous.php

I’ve just been hired to do a website for a guy who is definitely a PCer.

He wants me to create similar dropdown menus on his site as you would expect to see in Microsoft Excel if cells are consolidated.

This will be tough for me to explain but I will do my best.

Basically….

There will be a “+” on the left of each word in the drop down menu.

You can expand each word so that all of the categories can be expanded at once, or you could do them one at a time.

If the “+” is clicked, it will expand the subcategories under the main category. The “+” has to be clicked again in order for the subcategories to disappear.

For a visual….

If you had

+Media

————- Press Coverage

————- Downloads

—————News

+Schedule

——————Calendar

——————Upcoming events

+Statistics

+Locations

Anyone who can prescribe an action or method that would allow this would get infinite kudos.

Thanks.

Some of the menus above are expanded, some are not. All of them link to another page.
