Hi Steve, I have been following your excellent tutorial and have succeeded in getting one editable content box to work. When it comes to setting up a simple vertical text menu however I’m just banging my head against the wall - I just can not figure out how to do it (too dumb maybe). I have placed a menu tag in the Freeway doc but once in SimpleCMS I get stuck. Is there any chance in your busy schedule of producing a tutorial on how to implement a simple menu and also how to access more than one content area on the Freeway page.

Many thanks

Richard

Is the CMCMS tutorial still available anywhere? Will there be a part 2?

Thanks!

Peter

Hi,

Can’t seem to get to this tutorial either - is it still available?

Tony.

I’ll be writing a tutorial for CMS Made Simple with a sample file in a little bit. Just gathering some resources and uploading some contents for it as I post.

Stay tuned!

It’s up!

The complete tutorial is posted at http://danjasker.blogspot.com.

There is an entire package there with a sample file, a 26 minute video showing how to do it all, and 2 existing actions. After watching the video I realized I missed the beginning part of talking about the actions applied to the document already. The two actions are the “Page Div Styles” and “Remove Paragraph Tags.” I dance around a bit of what they do later in the video, but for future reference apply these to your page first. The Page Div Styles will remove all inline styling from the DIV’s in your outputted code and then it will place them in a separate CSS document named to whatever you want. Make sure the file name ends with .css and the other “Remove Paragraph Tags” action removes all of Freeway’s generated paragraph tags for text.

Hope this helps and feel free to comment and enjoy!

Mitchell, your blogspot link does not work because of the dot at the end. Also, your download link on your blogsite does not appear to be working either.

Hi Dan, I’d like to download your screen cast on how to build a template but MediaFire keeps telling me the password is invalid, please try again. I’m using apple as the password.

thanks

Sorry, i must have tossed the wrong password on there since I just redid the sample files for those.

Try again, it should work with the “apple” password.

I don’t even have it, but at the same time it wasn’t a proud achievement either. The screencast by now would be dated material and there are obviously better CMS systems out there.

I did get your email Eugenie, just hadn’t time to get back to you about it.
