Jumping thru alphabetical lists

A site I’m working on currently has a page featuring an A-Z index of more than 180 entries… can I put 26 boxes from A-Z at the top of the list, which when clicked will take the user to the relevant part of the index?

Hope this is clear!

Sure. Create your anchors first. Scroll down to where a or b or c… start. Select a word or just a letter of text, and from the main menu choose Edit : Anchor. After you have created your anchors, then go back to the top of your page and make a new line of text with the letters of the alphabet in it, separated by spaces and/or pipe (|) symbols. Select each letter in turn, and in the Hyperlink dialog (edit : hyperlink) choose the current page. You will see the list of Targets become available, and fill with the letters a - z. Just wire them up and you’re done.

I left out something fairly important here: In the dialog box that opens, enter the letter that you want this anchor to be called. Otherwise when you get to the next step, you won’t see your alphabetical list of targets.
