Google AJAX Libraries API

I’ve just noticed that Google now offer a distribution framework for some of the most popular AJAX libraries at code.google.com/apis/ajaxlibs/.

It might be an idea to look into converting some of the actions that use these libraries to use this service as it would keep the action download size small, HTML footprint small, and keep the libraries up to date. There would be an issue, however, with testing the action against the latest available libraries as, in theory, this could break things in the action or page code.

I agree it looks promising. The only issue I have with it at the moment is the lack of support for the compressed and minified versions we use in Protaculous.
