Slideshow Action and CMS
Hi, I am using Weaver’s Fading Slideshow action on a clients website to show 4 images. The site site uses WebYep and Max’s action set extensively and I was hoping that there may be a way for the client to change the images within the slideshow. However I don’t think this is possible using WebYep. Does anyone know of a simple way that this might be achieved?
Any help would be appreciated.
Thanks, Richard

24 Jun 2008, 2:11 amIn its current form, all of the Fading Slideshow actions like to have their images defined during page publish in FW. Although they all draw from the page in some way to determine slideshow content.
The original Fading Slideshow script uses a JS array in the page <head>. If you can modify that (or create your own), then you can dictate the images in the slideshow.

24 Jun 2008, 9:23 amHi Richard I have used weavers fading effects on webyep images though probably not in the way you would like. If you have a look at
www.belvedere.uk.com/press.php
Then click on the first newspaper icon with the magnifying glass, it will launch a popup with an effect on it. Alternatively the new support within webyep of the popup lightbox effect may help too.

27 Jun 2008, 4:20 pmI have finally worked out a way to create a fading slideshow which is content manageable using WebYep and Max’s action.
The solution was to use the Scriptaculous Show/Hide Layer action and the page action Sequence Timer.
The empty WebYep image containers on the slideshow page are filled from another admin page.
Here is the slideshow page: pixelarte.co.uk/slideshow/index.php
and this is the admin page:
pixelarte.co.uk/slideshow/admin.php
If anyone is interested I could post instructions.
