Software for building iPhone apps
There are a few. I own (but have not used yet) the TapLynx framework, which purports to do just that. I know there’s another one that does not require you to work in Xcode, but I can’t recall what that is called. It’s more geared toward people who want to put a shiny face on an RSS feed. I know they’re out there!

Xcode and the iPhone SDK are the only tools I know of. Xcode does make the dev process hugely accessible for the masses compared to the “old” days but there’s no escaping the fact that you still need to deal with the techy stuff. Designing a site in FW and building an application…apples and oranges.

21 Feb 2010, 7:37 pmThanks for the link Walt. Taking a look at Appcelerator Titanium, and from first blush it looks pretty straight forward. Running the sample project in the iPhone Simulator gives a very good overview of just what their product can do in terms of native iPhone abilities. I’m impressed after just a few minutes of poking around.
The question now is, how picky is it going to be about html formatting? It would be nice if it doesn’t balk at inline CSS.
