[Pro] Have-host.com

Good of James to set up a separate support site at http://havehost.zendesk.com/ after the trouble earlier this month. But I’d like to check on my account status at www.have-host.com - specifically to find out when annual hosting fees are due for the four sites I have hosted at have-host - and www.have-host.com doesn’t seem to be available. Have I missed something? Thought I’d ask here before troubling James yet again. Thanks in advance for any responses.

No. All the content has vanished - there’s only the Joomla temlate left.

Thank you for responding. You seem quite relaxed about it, lol! Does that mean you don’t have websites hosted at have-host or you do but there’s somewhere else you access account info? I only ask because if it’s the former I have to assume that it isn’t a problem for anyone else, and I should just contact James. TIA again.

yes BUT… in my opinion it would have been better sense from day one…

even the HH website manager suggests you use a contact email that is not hosted on the same site.

anyway it is done now so hopefully lighting will not strike twice next time !

the best way to get intouch would be through twitter, James appears to be using that quite efficiently at the moment, or the RSS feed is ok.

It seems a few (though not all) of my Have-host sites are down today. Anyone else with this problem? The absence of James home site is worrisome although the old havehost.ca site is up. Anyone know anything?

Just checked three of my sites and they’re up.

Best wishes Peter

Thanks for the Response.

Mine are back now. Still wondering about Have-host being down though. Would like to know if James is staying in business.

Thanks for all of the responses.

I am still having intermittent issues (although more off than on) but it it seems to be restricted to my .ca domains hosted by HaveHost. My .com and .net domains are fine. Curious.

I had a similar problem a while back an although it might not have been the problem, after I’d refreshed the DNS I/P designation the problem went away.

The domain was hosted elsewhere.

Best wishes Peter

Hi Peter,

Thanks for the suggestion. How do you “refresh” The DNS I/P, Is that the same as reset? Can this be done in CPanel?

Thanks,

Darryl

Mine was hosted somewhere different from HH here in the UK.

What I did was to re-enter the the I/P address of the HH server and do a save which overwrote the existing address with the same and propagated it around all DNS servers.

Best wishes Peter

Gotcha.

I actually went into webhost manager in cpanel (on HH) and reset the affected DNS. This appears to have worked as they are all up again.

Cheers,

Hello all and thanks for all responses although we seem to have drifted off the subject a bit. I was trying to log in to have-host.com to check the status of hosting fees. Actually, I ‘ve been in contact with James since my initial request for help here; James reminded me that I don’t need to log in at that address but can, in fact by-pass it completely by logging in here, at the ClientExec Support Centre:

http://www.have-host.com/orders/index.php

So, that’s my problem solved. I hope the difficulties that others are facing are similarly resolved. I’ll keep watching to see if there’s anything I can suggest, other than just to contact James directly.

Thanks again, es
