Carousel action not showing text sharp on the second/third panes
I’ve used the action (Carousel) for two other sites with no problems. On this third site the text appears sharp on the first pane and almost blurred on the following panes. Tried to change fonts, remake new boxes, etc. No luck, the fonts are unsharp. Copying the pane and paste it to a blank page it appears sharp. Change the order of layers, size of font, no luck. Can anyone help me??? You can see the problem on the Review page, the site, as is loaded: http://www.paigesings.com/ Thank you, Dan Demetriad email@hidden

12 Mar 2010, 8:25 amThe text is blurred because it’s not antialiasing against the background properly. I see you are using graphic text - is there a reason for that? You would be far better off using HTML text.
I see that other pages are set using graphic text too. At the moment, your client’s hopes in getting found are zero.
All the best,
Paul

12 Mar 2010, 8:43 amYou can choose a colour to antialias against - somewhere between your main blue and black would probably do it.
With the graphic text box selected go to the inspector - third tab - and go down to the antialias selector which will be defaulted to auto. Choose/create a colour mid way between your blue/black.
But as Paul suggests HTML text would be a far better choice for any number of reasons.

I’ll try to change all that today when I go back to the studio and hope it will work. I’ll let you know. I been using the graphic text as is easier to work with. I’ll replace it with HTML text today.
Thanks again

I’ll try that as soon as I go to the studio today. And change the text to HTML as well. I’ll let you know how it works. Thanks again,

12 Mar 2010, 4:10 pmIt works now by using the antialias selector w a darker color.I still have to use graphic text as the carousel requires graphic boxes. I tried to add HTML box inside the graphic box as Parent/child but is not working. I tried to work with strictly HTML boxes/text but the carousel action do not sees the HTML box. Any advise??? thanks again dan

12 Mar 2010, 4:22 pmThe Carousel emphatically does not require graphic boxes. It can move any sort of layered content you can draw in Freeway. The only requirement is that anything you choose to move must be a layer.
Try these steps in a new document.
- CSS Positioning on.
- Draw an HTML box on your page. While it is selected, apply the Carousel Action to it. Set the Auto-scroll interval to 1 or 2.
- Draw another HTML box on your page. Set it to the same dimensions as the first box.
- Apply the Carousel Pane Action to that box. The picker in the Actions palette should default to the name of the first box.
- Duplicate the second box any number of times. Set each of these boxes to a different color.
Preview in Freeway or a browser.
